Sienna Sip and Stroll

Saturday we attended The Sienna Sip and Stroll. Byron and I have gone every year with the exception of the year I was pregnant. We were happy that we were able to go with our friends, Shannon and Danny, this year. We had a wonderful time and the weather couldn't have been any better! Thanks Nana for keeping Elijah for us. It was a great “day date” for us!

Covering all the bases - wine, beer, and margaritas, but not at the same time. :)

As the event was coming to an end, everyone was chilling out by the new pool in Sienna.

I couldn't resist this purchase ... It says,"Mommy's Sippy Cup" :)

No Cavities!

On Friday Elijah had his first dentist visit. We were concerned how he was going to do, but he was a trooper!! No tears, no cavities, no problems –yea! Dr. Thach was super with him and shared a lot of helpful information with us as well. Thanks to Dr. Thach and the entire staff, the experience was a nice one.

I promise Elijah is not in pain or being held down in a mean way. This is how they exam and brush a child's teeth Elijah's age.

From Strawberry Fields to Wild Flower Fields

Today we went searching for Bluebonnets. We weren’t doing too well and then we came upon this...

Beautiful wild flowers and Bluebonnets. The Bluebonnets were pink and purple. So pretty!! We learned that they are a hybrid of the “blue” Bluebonnets.

I promise that Elijah is not picking the wild flowers.:)

It was a fun road trip for our family. Now, next year, we know exactly where to go.:)

A Visit to the Fire Station

Today Elijah and I attended our friend/neighbors second birthday party. This was an extra special occasion for Elijah because it was his first birthday party to attend of a friend and his first visit to a fire station. Elijah was in heaven!! – Wheels, shinning things, flashing lights, etc. :) After our visit to the fire station, the party moved to the Kitty Hollow Park. Elijah had a lot of fun trying to make bubbles from the party favor Mrs. Missy gave him. We had a lot of fun. Thanks Jacob for letting us is a part of your special day!

Waiting in the back of Mr. John's truck with Jacob, the birthday boy, for the fire truck to return.

You have to LOVE the hair!

Lights, lights, everywhere

No, Elijah, the "E" doesn't stand for you name :)

Strawberry Picking

Yesterday Elijah and I went with Mrs. Shannon and Brayden to pick strawberries. The boys had a blast!! Elijah had so much fun picking them and trying to fill up his bucket. He even ate some strawberries. I am hoping that this could be the start of him liking fruit. :) It was a wonderful time! We will be going back in May with Daddy for the blueberries.

Brayden and Elijah waiting to get started.

Elijah's first pick. He was so proud of himself!

I tired numerous times to rotate this picture but no luck. But I still thought it was too cute not to post.

Family Fun

My parents came to visit for several days this past weekend. We had a great time!! Byron and my Dad worked extremely hard while they were here. They completed some major yard work and built Elijah his first swing set. I love that Elijah’s first swing set was built by his Dad and my Dad. Like normal, we ate too much but the food was too delicious not to. Elijah made sure we were constantly entertained and kept us all laughing and smiling a lot. Byron and I were also able to go out for a date night/early birthday dinner on Saturday. Nice:) Thanks Nana and Papaw! It was a wonderful weekend and I can’t think of a better way than to have spent it than with Byron, Elijah, and my parents.

I hope to have a pictures of Elijah enjoying his swing set soon. They weren't able to completely finish it due to rain.

Like I have said many times before, Elijah loves wheels! So he had a blast playing with the wheel barrel.

Helping Papaw shovel the mulch...his way.

Elijah decided to take a break from yard work and play with his new grill that Nana and Papaw gave him. He likes grills, almost as much as he does wheels, so we are thrilled he has one of his own now.

My parents, as well as us, had seen Bob's Taco Station on Dinners, Drive-Ins,and Dives. So we thought it would be fun to check it out and we're glad we did. Good food and a fun atmosphere.

Family Pictures

We recently had some family pictures taken. Lauren, from Studio S, was SO amazing and we were thrilled with the results! It was very nice to meet her, as well as her husband and daughter. Lauren's daughter is the same age as Elijah. Elijah and I are looking forward to a play date with them soon. Later, we were surprised to see that she had posted some of Elijah’s pictures on her blog and website. Thanks Lauren!! :)

So if you need a great photographer, please check her out. You won’t be disappointed! Click here to go to Lauren's website and here to go to her blog.

Our family picture, the picture below, as well as Elijah's picture on our blog are from our photo session with her.
