Final Day at Christ Church School

May 21st was Elijah's final day at Christ Church School and his final day of being a Pre-K student. He had a busy, yet fun, last day. Can't believe how fast time seems to be going by!

 Off to school...

  for his final day

Some happies form Mom and Dad

Surprised happies waiting in the car for him at the end of the day= big smile

Pre-K Graduation

It is so hard to believe that Elijah has graduated from Pre-K. Byron and I both experienced a range of emotions on this special night but being proud of our little guy is the one that stands out the most to us. Elijah had a wonderful 4 years at Christ Church School and we are beyond thankful for that. Look out kindergarten, here comes Elijah!

Looking super handsome for his big night!

On the way to the ceremony

I cried two times that night (and that  is good for me)
Once when Mrs. Beth gave the opening prayer and the other time was when he walked in.

Waiting to start their singing program

They did such a great job with all of their songs

Our Pre-K graduate
Thank you Mrs. Glore & Mrs. McBurnette for a wonderful year

The Cooking Continues

Elijah continues to enjoy cooking and trying things. Some things are a success and somethings are a miss. This particular dish was a success and Byron used it as a flavoring in our dinner that night.

Private Swim Lessons

It has been such a roller coaster ride when it comes to Elijah learning to swim. It seems like when we think are finally on the right track, we have set backs. And it makes it hard on Elijah as well as us when all of his friends are swimming like fish.

So, this summer Byron and I are excited that we were able to have Elijah take some private swim lessons with Mr. Kameron. He came highly recommended. A added bonus is that it is about a 5 minute walk from our house to his.

This was there very first session and he said Elijah did well. I wanted to sit and watch them, but I was a distraction for Elijah. But I was able to snap a few pictures during the lesson. Looking forward to see what Elijah will accomplish this summer with Mr. Karmeron.

Final TBall Game

On May 8th, Elijah played his final Tball game. Byron and I both agreed that this was the best Elijah has ever done during the last 2 seasons. And the icing on the cake was that Elijah got another game ball. The coach said he because he hustled and played great that he deserved it.

All three of us were surprised about the game ball, because there weren't even going to be giving out any more game balls. We are very proud of Elijah being the only one on his team to receive 2 game balls. Both game balls are displayed with pride in his room.

 Warming up before the game

Quick team meeting before the game

Love how he is marking in the dirt where his feet need to be

 Swing!

Check out this look he gave me when he crossed home plate

Last Mother's Day Picnic at CCS

Wednesday, May 7th, was my last time to attend Christ Church School Mother's Day Picnic.

Each year the kids decorate a large bag that you use to bring a blanket and your special lunches in. Then when the kids arrive, they sing two special songs that they have been working on, as well as their two favorite songs from chapel. This year Elijah's request for lunch was a spicy Italian from Subway. So after eating our lunch together we are then presented with a special dessert the kids have made. The make the desserts in the church's kitchen. This year it was yummy flavored brownies.

I am beyond thankful that I have had the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom so that I can attend special events like this.

Snapped this picture before we left to head to school
Blurry, but I still like it

This is the reason I get to celebrate Mother's Day
Our Miracle!!

Our first selfie... really, it is our first one

This this the sugar scrub he made as my gift
Love the pic of him on the top of the jar!
