Vacations are wonderful, however, it's always a little sad when they have to come to an end. Byron and I are SO grateful that we could take this vacation and were able to experience this "magical" time with Elijah. It was a incredible trip in so many ways! We are already talking about going back next year.
Getting ready to go into the Magic Kingdom for our last evening
We did have one bump in the road on our vacation... I had a run in with a curb, and the curb won. Major bruised shoulder, bruised hand & knee, and a sore back. We were very thankful that nothing was broken. Guess if something like this has to happen, at least it happened the last night. I was determined it wasn't going to stop me or ruin our last evening. So we went on and rode some rides, did some shopping, and watched the parade that evening.
The worst part of it though? My new camera lens, that Byron got me for my birthday, was damaged. That's why there isn't pictures from the rest of the night. :( The picture above was taken right before I fell.
On the flight home, Elijah and I were able to sit in the pilot's and co-pilot"s seats of the cockpit.
(This picture is for you Paw paw)
Elijah also received his 2nd pair of wings on this flight.
Our Family
Ours Did!
Fun Facts for Elijah about our vacation:
- This was your first trip to Disney World
- You rode his first roller coaster
- Your favorite ride was Dumbo the Flying Elephant
- Your Daddy rode Dumbo for his first time on this trip
- You napped everyday - that isn't the norm for you at home :)
- You flew first class for the first time
- First time to sit in the pilot's seat of an airplane you were traveling on
- Mommy and Daddy took right at 800 pictures on this trip.
I realize that 10 posts on one vacation is a little over the top. But it was hard to keep it to just a few. There was just so much we wanted to make sure was included in Elijah's book.
The family picture above are from the Disney Photo Pass (would highly recommend this!). I will be posting a few more of our favorites later.
