Easter 2017

A few pictures from Easter this year

This year again we got the egg dye that you paint on ... so much fun!

Look what the Easter Bunny brought Elijah. What you can't see is at the bottom of his basket is an Astros beach towel. And as of today, the only candy Elijah has eaten are the Milk Duds.

Heading to the egg hunt on the hill

Enjoying worshiping with about 3,000 people that "He is risen, He is risen indeed"

Byron nor I were able to go on Elijah's field trip this year, but a parent was sweet enough to send me this picture.

One of my teammates gave Elijah some chrysalis to bring home and he was able to watch them emerge as butterflies. He had three we left go this day, but one of them wanted to stick around a little longer.

GT Showcase

On Wednesday, April 12th, Elijah's class presented their research projects at the GT Showcase held after school. For his person, Elijah choose to research James K. Polk.
Why? Because he thought it was cool that there was a former president who has the same last name as him,

The White House was a 3D puzzle that Elijah put together, with a little help from Byron.
The coffee cup came from a work trip that Byron did in Washington, DC.

Elijah took a sketch of James K. Polk and place it under the canvas to trace it. He did the tracing completely by himself and as well the painting too. We thought he did a great job and we were very proud of his products to display!

Waiting for the people to arrive

This is Elijah's really good friend and classmate, Abigale.

Bluebonnet Road Trip

The last week in March we did our annual Bluebonnet trip to Chapel Hill.
Happy to say, it was a successful trip.

Basketball and Watch Dog

Elijah has started showing a lot of interest in basketball lately. So my guys enjoyed some hoop time on this beautiful day.

On one of Byron's Fridays off, he was able to participate in the Watch D.O.G.S. program at ASE. He spent the entire school day in various grade levels & did various things throughout the day in the classrooms. He also got to eat with Elijah and enjoy some recess time as well.
Elijah LOVED having his Dad with him at school!!

Baseball - 8U

Elijah is having a really good season so far.
He is hitting great and his fielding has really improved. He likes playing 2nd base, short stop, and catcher. He has made some big plays as well.
We couldn't be prouder of him!

Big play here... Made a great catch and got a runner out at 2nd!

Game ball! :)
