Pizza Anyone?

Another item on our family's summer bucket list was to have a pizza night. For pizza night, we each had to make our own pizza - all different.  Elijah and Byron made their dough, I on the other hand just used store bought. They all turned out great in my opinion. We had a yummy dinner and plenty of left overs for dinner the next night.

Happy Father's Day to you Byron!

Elijah is blessed to have such a wonderful dad and role model in you.

But most of all, Elijah is beyond blessed to have a Dad who loves him 

SO much!!

Homemade Bread

One of the reasons Byron has always wanted a mixer like this (Elijah picked out the color) is so that he could make homemade bread. So after we enjoyed Elijah's meal he had prepped and cooked, my guys headed to the kitchen to make some bread.

The end result? Very yummy bread

Byron and Elijah did a great job making bread for the first time.
We used the bread to make garlic bread to have with other dinners, sandwiches, and even homemade croutons.

What's for Dinner?

One of the items on our summer bucket list was for Elijah to plan and cook dinner. So what's for dinner? Yummy tacos and bacon wrapped asparagus. Elijah didn't even want us to be in the kitchen while he prepped and cooked ...but we were close by.

 He mixed the onions and bell peppers into the meat. He also added some additional seasoning as well.

 He wanted to use the outdoor grill but we had him used this griddle instead

When Elijah cooks it is either a hit or miss. 

But I am happy to say this was a hit.

 We framed it for him and now it sits in Byron's office with pride.

 Byron's gift from Elijah and myself was a Kitchen Aid mixer & yes he had been wanting one. :)

 Elijah picked out the color and let's just say it is a bright green.
