Baseball (Tball) Time!

Elijah is playing Tball again this spring with the Sienna Plantation Youth Baseball League. This is his second year to play t-ball and this year he is on the NY Mets. The team had their first practice on Monday night and Elijah really enjoyed it. They also had a second practice on Tuesday night as well. Looks like it is going to be another fun season.

Time to Drill

Elijah likes to build things just like his Dad. And this particular day he really wanted to do something using a drill. So under his Dad's supervision (and a little help when needed) he had fun drilling holes. For what? Not quite sure, but he was having a blast!

This picture just makes me smile!

Valentines Day Party

This year Mrs. Mary (Aiden's mom) and I were the host for the Valentine's Day party. I was able to snap a few pictures before things got busy.

This was the craft for the party (Pinterest)

What has Elijah Been up to Lately?

...Creating things with Snap Circuits

Creating inventions using whatever he can get his hands on.
When you opened the door it would cause the fan to come on, move the cup, and make the red light come on. This was his own creation! His Daddy was very impressed. :)
Elijah also enjoys watching "Design Squad Nation" (PBS app) and trying what he sees on there.

Trying to figure how to make/install pull-out drawers after I said that I would love to have them for our Tupperware.

Making his own night light

Building Marble Run

Byron and I have been happy that Elijah has been able to do the snap circuits (following the blueprints) and creating inventions all by himself. With the marble runs though, he has to have some help with the more complicated ones. But we have no doubt he will get there with them too.
This boy LOVES anything hands-on and science related.

Dad's Night at Christ Church School

In January of each year, CCS host a Dad's Night. Well, this year Byron wasn't able to attend because he was in Canada. This was hard on Byron as well as Elijah. So Elijah took it upon himself to tell his teachers that his Pawpaw was coming to Texas to take him. Well, after sharing this with my mom, for no other reason than to share it with her, she then told my dad about it  Next thing I knew I was getting a phone call from them.
Guess who was coming to Texas to take his grandson to Dad's night? You got it, Elijah's Pawpaw! Sure Elijah would have loved for his Dad to take him but this was the next best thing in his eyes. :)

The drive to our house takes typically about 8-8.5 hours. But due to the winter storm that hit the southern states, LA was prepared. So with the interstates being shut down in LA, it took my parents 14 hours to drive here!! But both of my parents said it was worth the drive because it was for Elijah.

That night both Elijah and his Pawpaw had wonderful time. Their smiles and stories they shared when they got home were priceless!

Then they had to stay 2 additional days here because they couldn't get back home because of the roads. But we were happy to have more time with them, especially with Elijah missing his Daddy so bad!!

The pictures below were taken for me by my dad for us.
