Smile for the Camera!

Today Elijah had his 18 months (year and a half) pictures taken. This photo session was a challenge because Elijah did not want me leave his side. Yes, unfortunately, we are going through another round of separation anxiety. :( Also, we could not get the toy away from him to get a picture without it. Luckily though, in the end, we did get a few good shots. It is hard for us to believe that his next photo session, our sweet Elijah Boo, will be two. Wish we could freeze time! He is growing up way too fast!

My favorite :)

Love all those teeth!

We LOVE you little man!

Where Has Time Gone?

Today our precious Elijah turned 1 ½ years old. We are amazed how fast time is passing by! We find ourselves sad too knowing our baby is growing up. :( So, to celebrate this special day, Elijah helped me make brownies. This was his first time to help me cook. He had a lot of fun being Mommy’s helper.

Elijah – Mommy and Daddy love you so much! We are proud of all the things you have learned and are continuing to learn. One VERY special saying that Elijah has recently learned to say is "I love you”. He will tell us on his own and will say it back to us when we tell him. PRICELESS!

Let the fun begin!

Elijah's a little too much like his me because he didn't want to do anything else till I cleaned up his mess. Could be a good thing or a bad thing...jury is still out. :)

Yes, we had a wardrobe change. His clothes were covered in chocolate - Oh my! Just wish I had got a picture of that.

A Snapshot

Here is a snapshot of a few things that happened this week.

No more tray on my booster seat. Sitting at the table like a big boy now :)

Haircut #3

These eyes melt our hearts everyday!

Elijah is not sticking out his tongue :) He was trying to make the same sound that his Aunt Mindy was making at him. Mindy is our friend/neighbor but we consider her family.

Lions, Tigers, and Bears! Oh My!

Saturday we decided to take advantage of the cooler weather and headed to the zoo. It had been a long time since our last visit. Elijah seemed to really enjoy seeing all the different animals. But I have to admit though, he had as much fun watching all the people, playing with his stroller, and running around. Yep, that’s our boy, and we love that about him!! It was a great way to start off my Mother’s Day weekend.

The First of Many

Today we visited the new Fort Bend library in Sienna with our friends Mrs. Shannon and Brayden. The boys had fun looking at the books and playing with the toys. We even got our library cards. The library is so nice and we are thrilled to have one close to home. We know this is the first of many visits to come.

A special thank you to Shannon for sharing her pictures with me. I did take several but they didn’t turn out well. :(

This one looks interesting Mommy!

Notice the matching shorts - this was not planned! Shannon and I couldn't help but laugh. :)

Elijah got this yellow Lego piece when he first got there and held on to it most of the time we were there.

Let Summer Begin

Today our playgroup went to the aquatic park on Austin Parkway. The kids had fun playing in the water even though the water was COLD! I wasn’t sure how Elijah was going to like it, but once he gave it a try, he had a blast! What a great way to start off our summer.

Trying to decide if he was up for this or not...

and he was :)

Hey Mom, what happened to my water? Elijah decided he liked this bucket and would hang on to it as long as he could. Too funny!

Hey Little Man, you are heading the wrong direction!

So, how have you been?

A Space to Call His Own

Here are some recent pictures that I took of Elijah playing in his playroom. We try to play in there in the mornings and afternoons, depending what our schedule is for the day. The room is definitely a work in progress but it is nice to have a space that is all "his". :)

On my tippy toes watching all the wheels going by. Oops, I meant to say cars going by! :)
