Friends

Two weekends ago, Elijah had his good friend/classmate, Gabbie, over to hang out some. They had so much playing inside and outside. Even though it was a chilly Saturday, that didn't stop them from enjoying their picnic for lunch.

We are very thankful that Elijah is making such good friends this year in Kindergarten.

 Friends! :)

Can You Tie Your Shoes?

In January, the PE teachers (aka coaches) start working periodically with Kindergartners to teach them how to tie their shoes, if they don't know how.

We have practiced with Elijah on occasions but he would get so flustered when he couldn't do it and just would want to stop.

However, Coach Brogan, had the magic touch and was able to teach Elijah how to do it. After they are able to tie a shoe, their name goes on a shoe and it is displayed outside the PE room.

Thank you Coach Brogan!

Snow Blast

In January, Sienna holds its annual Snow Blast. We have attended the last several years and Elijah always has fun. He even saw some of his classmates so he really liked that.

We always get there early so that Elijah has time to play before it gets really crowded. That is why you don't see too many kids in the picture.

 Snowman time with Daddy

Taking a break and checking out some of the slides and rides they had there too.

This is Elijah's friend, Olivia. They are in the same class,
They had the BEST time playing together.
First up was a snowball fight.

 Then onto making a snowman

I thought it was so creative how they came up with how they wanted their snowman to look.

Proud of their work!

New Year's Eve

Memories from New Year's Eve 2014

Elijah baked us a cake to have as dessert for our New Year's Eve dinner.

The finished cake and it was very yummy.

Elijah set up this table to us to have a special dinner together for New Year's Eve.
He set the table and had silver plates for us to use as well.
Byron fixed a fantastic dinner that included steaks, potatoes, and a side salad.

 Time for dessert

Before Elijah went to sleep we did a "pretend" countdown and we all toasted in the New Year with sparkling grape juice. We are looking forward to a wonderful 2015!

An After Christmas Celebration

My parents came to Texas on the 26th of December so we could have a Christmas celebration together. They were able to stay for three nights and Elijah enjoyed getting to spend time with them.

 Present time
 Counting his money

Fishing rod so he can fish with Pawpaw when we go to Mississippi

Tools from Uncle Mike and Hannah
Both Elijah and Byron really liked this!

Since Pawpaw couldn't be at Elijah's 6th birthday party, Elijah gave him all the parts to make his own plane like they did at his party. Hammer and safety glasses as well. They put it together the next day.

Watching his Show Box light show with Pawpaw
Elijah was so mesmerized!!

Moody Gardens - Festival of Lights

After a quick snack we headed out to see some more at Moody Gardens.

Festival of Lights Walk

After we were finished with all the activities, we went out to eat for dinner. Elijah had seen this Mexican restaurant on the way to the hotel, so that is where he wanted to eat. And we are so glad he did because it was SO yummy!!
Mom and Pop run restaurants are the best.
This is the most we have ever seen Elijah eat at any restaurant. :)

Wish we could get him to eat like this all the time :)

Good Morning!

Some morning chill time in the bed before checking out of the hotel

 Elijah took this picture
He wanted to get the seagull in the picture and he did.

Even though it was so cold, had to stop by the beach.
