New Phase of Baseball for Elijah

Wednesday, March 18, Elijah had his first coach-pitch baseball game. He is now U6...no more t-ball. Elijah seems to have made the change well and so far is enjoying it. :)

They did those their first game by 2 runs, but they had fun and that is what is important. One plus this year for Elijah is that about half the team go to SCE. 

Last year, Elijah was the only one on the team that went to SCE. So having friends already on the team makes it more fun for him.

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo 2015

Our annual tradition of attending the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo continues.

This year, Elijah was more into the carnival part so that is where we spent most of our time. We learned, this year, that Elijah has no fear when it comes to riding rides or trying something different... which could be good or bad. :)

By the time we headed home, it was safe to say that there were 3 very tired people in our car. But we had a great time.

 I have a fear of heights, but Elijah was able to talk me into riding the Ferris wheel with him. And yes, I was beyond scared the whole time and pretty much kept my eyes closed the whole time too. 

Never again! 

Elijah's FIRST Field Trip

On Friday, March 6th, Elijah had his first field trip. The kindergartners went to the Houston Zoo so they could check out the animals they had been researching. 

I was thrilled, that even though I am now working full time, that I was able to go as a chaperon. All the kids were so excited and they had such a good time.

I am very thankful that I was able to be a part of this special day with my guy. 

 

A Nice Surprise while at HEB

When Elijah and I go to HEB together, typically he will ask for my phone not too long after we have started our shopping. 

However, on this particular day, he asked could he take a math workbook in and do some math while I shopped. I was so surprised and thrilled at the same time. And of course, my answer was YES!

Since staring Kinder this year, we have noticed that Elijah's favorite things to learn about are math, science, and social studies. Now, we just have to add reading to that that list. Hehe!

Kinder Spring Open House

On Tuesday, March 3rd, we attended SCE's Spring Open House. It was so nice having Elijah show us his work and showing us all the different learning areas in his classroom. He was so happy to be our guide for the evening. 

Elijah, Mommy and Daddy are so proud of all of your hard work at school.
