Elijah's Birthday Party -Before Hand

This year Elijah was set on having Nerf guns somehow incorporated into his party, but we didn't just want a "Nerf gun" party. So what did we come up with as a compromise? A carnival theme party! We had different stations set up and in each station the kiddos got a prize. All the prizes then ended up being their party favor.

We also decided to keep it simple this year and not invite a lot of kids. And this worked out great because the boys pretty much entertained themselves the whole party and the parents got to visit.

 Ring Toss Station

 Free Building Station

 Nerf Gun Station

For this station, we had little mini Nerf gun pistols for the boys. Oh course, they all loved that!

 Disk Drop Station

 Corn Hole Station

 Basketball Station

 The Birthday Boy!

Can't believe our baby is 8!

The invitation

Veterans Day

Elijah made posters to display at his school for Veterans Day. All the veterans were invited to attend a catered lunch, they were introduce to the students, and given a wreath made out of stars that kids had wrote than you messages on.

For the first Veterans Day celebration at ASE, it turned out very nice. I was proud to be a part of the committee that planned this event.

 Wall of Honor

A sweet letter Elijah wrote to his Pops.
Pops wasn't able to attend but he loved his note.

Pack 1401 Campout at Lake Livingston

This year the Pack had their campout at Lake Livingston. Byron picked Elijah up from school a little early so they could get on the road and get set up before dark. My two guys had a wonderful time!! Great memories were made. I am very thankful that Byron and Elijah have times like this together... just the boys!
Leaving his school

Byron got a new tent for this campout since our other one is small.

 Love this two so much!

On their way, they picked up pizza for dinner. They did this last year too and when they took a walk, a raccoon got into it. Ha! This year, no pizza was taken.

Byron even brought lights for them to hang up

 Love!
