HEB - Not Just for Shopping

Last Saturday, HEB had a catfish tank set up for the kids to try their luck at fishing. So we took Elijah to check it out.

 Waiting in line with Daddy

"Hey, are you having any luck over there?"

The look of "It got away!"

Now, to a totally different subject :) Here is Elijah's fall tree he painted using corks to create instead of paint brushes. (Thanks Pinterest)

First Day of School 2012

This morning when I dropped Elijah off at his classroom, he told me he loved me, gave me a kiss & a hug, then walked in by himself. Such a big boy! He had a wonderful first day and talked about it all the way home.

The picture below was good to post as well, even though they have a glare on it.

Open House 2012

Heading to Christ Church School to attend their Open House

After the open house our friends, Mrs. Andrea and Evie meet us at Chuck E Cheese.

This smile just warms our hearts!

Daddy being silly during lunch. I think Elijah's facial expression is so cute.

Showing off the bell he received after passing all 3 phases of his float test

Mrs. Rabb, his teacher this year, and Elijah enjoying an activity during her visit to our house. As a elementary teacher I thought this was good because it assessed whether he could follow/understand the directions given, did he know his colors and understand the concept of numbers. He did great!

The smile of success

After passing his float test, we wanted to get Elijah a "way to go" present. So when I asked him what would he wanted (within reason of course) he said...his own cheese grater. Yes, I think it is fair to say that most 3 year 8 months old don't ask for a cheese grater as a reward but our's did. :)

Since getting his grater, he has used it often when helping us cook or when he just wants to grate some cheese to eat. The boy LOVES cheese!

Right after he passed the last phase of his float test. For his final phase he was requited to wear long sleeves, jeans, socks and tennis shoes and still get to the side of the pool. Then float to the wall, touch it, & flip over. It wasn't easy to watch at times, but he did good.
We are so proud of you Elijah!
