Party Time

Elijah decided last night to throw a spontaneous party for Byron and I. He did all the decorating and we had sausage, cheese, crackers, and black olives to eat. So sweet!

Christmas in Hazlehurst 2012

After some time in Raleigh, we headed to Hazlehurst to celebrate Christmas with Byron's parents, his brother and his family, and his sister and her family. (All of Byron's siblings live in Mississippi), While there, Byron cooked a wonderful Christmas meal on Saturday that everyone enjoyed. It was a nice time.

Elijah and Ashton (Byron's niece) playing Wahoo
and yes it didn't last long because of Elijah's attention span (He he!)

Elijah and Uncle Blake looking for pecans

Chelle (another niece of Byron's) and Elijah breaking the wishbone

Elijah and Uncle Billy (Byron's brother-in-law) showing off the pirate ship they built together.
The ship was given to Elijah by his Nana and Papaw (my parents)

 Look at those faces!!

Uncle Blake and Aunt Michele being silly.
And yes, Byron's sister-in-law's name is Michele too. I know... what are the odds? :)

And it was a lawn mower

Christmas in Raleigh 2012

On December 26th we drove to Mississippi to celebrate Christmas with my parents, my brother (who lives in Nashville) and my niece. It was a nice visit and oh course Elijah has a lot of fun!! My niece Hannah brought her dog, Reuben, and Elijah enjoyed playing with him as well.

Looking for more things to throw

It was very cold while we were there but that didn't stop Elijah being outside as much as he could

 Fire time

Elijah, Hannah, and Papaw built this fire pit and the kids had so much fun throwing things in the fire and seeing all the different colors that showed up based upon what they threw in.

*We opened presents the first night, but somehow all those pictures are no where to be found now. :( Every one liked what they got though.

Christmas Morning 2012

Elijah slept to 9:30 Christmas morning, so we got to as well.Probably had something to do with staying awake till 10:15 because he was so excited! We had a relaxing and fun day seeing what Santa brought, checking out our stockings, eating a delicious lunch made by Byron, and just enjoying our time together as a family.

His air hockey table Santa brought him. We played several games that day.

 All the milk is gone

And so are the cookies... just crumbs left

Checking out his bike and helmet Santa brought him

Santa even put lights on his bike :)

Riding his bike for the first time in the house

Santa put Summer Sausage in his stocking - one of his favorites

 And Reese's Pieces, another favorite

Playing with his Light Bright he got from us

Riding his bike again- Notice how he is dressed? He wanted to pick out his clothes and dress himself that day

Thought he would work on a broken coffee pot for his Dad

Taking a break from cooking to watch some of "A Christmas Story

Christmas Eve 2012 {Part 2)

After getting everything ready outside, it was time to open presents. Byron and I were so surprised how excited Elijah was helping us open our presents. He was nothing but smiles the whole time. What a wonderful Christmas Eve!
