Random Pictures from July

My inspiration of what love and marriage is all about

My boys enjoying some pool time on a very hot day!

Byron and Elijah are building us an outdoor kitchen

Bob... He hangs out with me in the pool :)

Elijah and I saw this on a day out together.

These little ones decided to visit us when we were having lunch.
Elijah said we should call this day out our "Duck Day"

While Byron was attending his monthly HOA meeting, Elijah decided he wanted to cook me dinner.
Pizza, mac & cheese, flowers, and candles

 My menu for dinner

Love that Elijah and I can go out for lunch in the summer.
We both really like Mexican food so we usually end up at a Mexican restaurant.

Fourth of July

Typically we host a Fourth of July party, but this year, against my guys choice, we didn't host one. I just wanted a relaxing day after returning home from our trip. But in the end, all three of us had a great day. :)

Byron made sliders and homemade salsa. I am so thankful to have a husband who loves to cook and is very good at it.

I never knew how much I would enjoy having a pool. It is better than I ever imagined. It is my happy place and therapy at the same time. Ha!
It is truly worth every penny.

And of course, no Fourth of July would be complete without fireworks.

Vacation 2016 Conclusion

When we go to Hattiesburg, we have to go by our alma mater,
The University of Southern Mississippi
SMTTT
(Southern Mississippi to the top!)

This is the place that I met Byron.
At the time, it was a bar, called Sharkey's Shuck and Jive.
Not a bar anymore...ha! But a lot of good memories were made there.

Some target practice even when on vacation

What a beautiful view on our drive back home.

Home safe and sound
Now. it's time for everyone to go to bed, especially this guy. He didn't sleep at all on the drive home and yet was in the best mood for the entire way. But,t he next day though, not so much.

Final Leg - The Hattiesburg Zoo

We were able to go with Byron's niece, Chelle and her son, Neil to the Hattiesburg Zoo while we were in Petal. Byron's sister, Brenda, was able to join us as well.

The boys had fun, especially at the splash pad, but it was hot!!

 A Golden Eagle ;)

Flamingos...Byron's favorite

Time to cool down on such a HOT day

Final Leg of Vacation 2016

On the way to Petal, MS to see Byron's parents, we went through Louisdale to check out the "scratching post". Rumor is that President Ronald Reagan used it one time to help with a back itch. :)

It has been around since the 1940's.

My new USM thanks to my mother-in-law

Oh course, when it is 88 degrees at 7:00 at night you build a fire, right?!

Vacation 2016 - Florida Conclusion

If you go on vacation, don't you always have to buy some souvenirs?

 Ready for lunch

This little guy thought what we were having for lunch smelled pretty good.

 Here we go, yet again
