Thank You Daddy!

Byron has been wanting to make a big sandbox for Elijah for awhile now. So this past Friday, he set out to get it done and he did. I have to say, Byron worked very hard. Moving that much grass, dirt, and sand in a wheel barrier is HARD work! Elijah's new sandbox has already had a lot of playtime in just a few days. :) Thanks honey for doing this for our son. The beginning... the end :) This is the first project that Byron (and my Dad) built last Spring for Elijah. It has taken him a while to like swinging, but he is finally there. Yea!

Saturday Spring Fling

Today Sienna held its annual Spring Fling. We have learned that when Sienna has any type of community event, the key is to arrive early and I am glad we did. It got crowed very fast but we were still happy we went. Elijah enjoyed it all! One the way home. we stopped by the park for a little more fun. Love that we live in a community that is very family oriented.
Elijah spotted this Firetruck slide as soon as we arrived and he had to try it first.
Hey Mommy and Daddy I finally made it to the top.

First Day of Spring

Sunday, March 20th, was the first day of Spring. And I couldn't resist taking a few pictures of Byron and Elijah dressed in their spring colors as we headed to church. I am beyond grateful for them being in my life!

I think it is fair to say, that as Elijah gets older, he is looking more and more like Byron... but still a little like me. :) I love you both!

Sunday's sermon was how prayers are answered in three ways. A great sermon and Elijah is proof that prayers are answered. You just have to believe and say "In God's time and His will be done, not yours". No matter how long it takes just keep praying!

Strawberry Picking

Elijah and I headed to Froberg Farm in Alvin on Friday (March 18th) for some strawberry picking. We were very happy that some of our friends could join us as well. This was our second year to go and I think it is far to say that this will be an annual event for us... well, as long as Elijah continues to enjoy going. :)

Didn't know that getting 4 kids to look at the camera could be so hard (he he!) - Our friends who joined us: Emily Glee, Eliana, and Gabrian.

Luck of the Irish Playdate

On St. Patrick's Day my friend Liz and I decided to get together for a Luck of the Irish playdate. I knew it would be a great time because Liz is VERY creative and always has something fun for our kids to do. Well, I was right, there were fun activites every time we turned around! Thank you Mrs.Liz for another fun time!
By the way, Liz has her own business, "Liz Latest" (check it out on Facebook). If you need any cute things for parties, birthdays, baby showers, or for any other special occasion, she can make it for you.

I couldn't ask for a cuter lucky charm!

Enjoying some time outside before the crafts and fun begin.

Spreading the green icing on his cookie

Yummy!

Alyssa enjoying her cookie too. This little girl is so precious!

A friend of Liz joined us as well and made these cute rainbow hats for all the kids.

Audrey showing off her face painting.

I thought this art project was really neat since it uses your child's hand print.

I have finally started making sure that I get pictures of Elijah and me since I am usually the one behind the camera.

Snack time = green pudding, green apples, green mac&cheese, and rainbow fruit loops. And I am happy to say, Elijah tried it all. We were going to have the kids make a rainbow with the fruit loops but we ran out of time.

Visiting Daddy at Work

Wednesday, March 16th, Elijah and I headed to downtown Houston to visit Byron/Daddy at work and have lunch with him. This visit was long over due but at least we finally made it. It was so sweet to see Byron taking Elijah around and showing him to all of his co-workers (again). Elijah was in heaven! When it came time for us to go, Elijah said "No Daddy back to work, play with me". I know Elijah loves me a lot but he is becoming more of a Daddy's boy everyday. Oh course, that makes Byron smile big time...as it should.

My two favorite guys!

Elijah had the best time helping his Daddy answer his phone. He thought it was so cool how Daddy's co-workers photos come up on the phone when they called.

Helping Daddy do some computer work *The police badge Elijah is wearing was given to him when we first arrived by a very nice police officer. We were shocked that he didn't play with the sticker or the visitor badge the whole time we were there.

Leaving some art work for Daddy to enjoy :)
