This year for the Fourth of July we decided to make our own shirts. I found this idea on Pinterest and what I liked about it was that is was cute and easy to make too.
This year we also decided to host a Fourth of July party for our cul-de-sac. There were ten of us. Two of the families in our circle had prior plans so that couldn't join us. We plan on making this an annual event, so hopefully next year all our neighbors can attend. We had a lot of fun and there was plenty of great tasting food.
Byron smoked a Boston Butt and a whole chicken. He also grilled stuffed jalapenos as an appetizer. And he grilled corn and hamburgers too. To add to the yummy spread of food, our neighbors brought appetizers, side dishes, and desserts. Elijah and William
Michael, Stephen, and Chef Byron
Luckily, we had finished eating when the storm rolled in so we just moved the party inside. No reason to let the weather stop the fun.
Happy Fourth of July!
The weather continued to be bad but around 8:45 the thunder and lighting stopped and it was just a light rain. So we put on our rain gear and went to watch the fireworks.

Nana really likes the shirts you all made. I am so glad that you all celebrated the Fourth of July with friends and neighbors as it's always good to share. Nana and papaw love you so much Elijah.
