This past Saturday night Byron and Elijah decided to camp out. This was Elijah's 2nd time to camp out. The first time he did great but I had to join them around 11:30 so he would go to sleep. But this time we told him that Mommy wasn't going to join them - that is was a boy's night.
He was SO excited all day long and then when they started getting everything ready, he got even more excited. He stayed out in the tent for the rest of the evening. Then bedtime came... and things went down hill. At 10:40 after Byron had done everything under the sun to get him to stay outside, he wanted nothing to do with camping anymore and came inside to me instead. Uh! :(
I guess the verdict is still out if Elijah is or will ever be a fan of camping and if he will ever stay through the nigh without Mommy with him. Guess time will tell.
Love it! You'll all have to join us for our family backyard campout next SPring! Can't wait to see how the Halloween one will go :)
