Since Elijah's birthday fell on a school day this year, Byron and I went and had lunch with Elijah. His request was a spicy Italian sub from Subway.
This was waiting for Elijah when he got home from school.
This was from his Nana and Pawpaw
Another gift from Nana and Pawpaw
This model is the kind of plane my Dad worked on while in the USAF.
This expression came after he saw the picture of what this was on the box
The box= chair for a desk
And this facial expression came after he new he had got a desk.
The box didn't have a picture on it, so Byron printed out a picture of the desk from their website. Smart move Daddy!
Yes, our now six year old son, had asked for a desk and a chair for his "office" for his birthday.
A few months ago, Elijah found my old laptop, and printer/scanner and took over them. He had a made shift desk he was using. Elijah will spend a lot of time in his "office" doing "work'. He doesn't Internet access, so he is just exploring, seeing what he can do on the computer, creating things, and printing a lot of things. He has even taught me a thing or two about the computer.
One of many things we love about Elijah is that he does his own thing even if it isn't the norm for most 6 year old boys. And doesn't care if others might think it is strange or that they aren't interested in what he is doing. He does what he enjoys and makes him happy! :) Love that since of independence!
