ICE - The Nutcracker

Later that afternoon, we went to check out ICE. The first part we went through was The Nutcracker. Everything was make out of ice and it was amazing!

All bundle up before we started. They give you parkas to wear because it is 6 degrees in the exhibits!

Grapevine, Texas - Historical Downtown

Last time we were at the Gaylord Texan we didn't get a chance to explore the historical downtown of Grapevine. So since were got to the resort around noon and was able to check in early, we went to check it out. Forgot to get pictures of the stores and how great they had the entire area decorated for Christmas. It was really cool.

When we returned to the room, Elijah was very surprised to find his elf, Jingle Bells was there & that Jingle Bells had decorated our room with Christmas lights.

Looking at Christmas Lights

Our Advent activity on Sunday was to go look at Christmas lights in Sienna. So we headed out that night with hot chocolate in hand for all of us and Elijah in his pajamas. We looked at lights for about an hour and had a lot of fun.

This is in the neighborhood behind us and Elijah always wants to go see it. Last year, the family, had a Santa on a roller coaster and Elijah would call it Fast Santa. This Ferris wheel is a new one this year. The man that lives there makes them. Impressive!

Christmas Program at the Harvest

On previous occasions when the kids from our church sang, whether it be for VBS or the Christmas program, Elijah would either not want to participate or would go up and do nothing. Well, this year he really surprised us. He sang and did all the hand motions too. That is huge for him! We were so proud of him! The kids did a wonderful job.
