Houston Livestock and Rodeo

The fun continues

Elijah wanted to ride this all by himself, so let's just say the whole time he was on it, this Mom was praying!

He loved this ride so much

Roller coaster time with Dad
I am not a fan of rides, especially roller coasters,
so that is why I was taking all the pictures :)

Third Ferris Wheel of the day

Last year I rode this ride with Elijah twice
So this year it was Byron's turn- Ha!

Five hours of fun and our annual trip to the HLS & R is in the books!

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo 2017

So during our Spring Break, we did our annual trip to the HLS&R. It was a beautiful day and we had another fun time.

It is interesting, from year to year, how what Elijah is really interested in changes. This year, it was all about the rides (all different rides than from he rode last year) and the carnival games. Curious to see what next year will bring.

 My loves!

We actually got to watch 2 baby chicks be born this year.

 Planting his sunflower
He makes sure he does this every year.

 Lunch time

He didn't win at this basketball game, however, he did at another one and his prize was an actual basketball.

 He beat his Dad :)

 We have a winner!

A Special Dinner

So occasionally Elijah will offer to fix me dinner if his Dad won't be home for dinner that night. And that is what he did this particular night.

He made the cheese sauce, did the pasta, and even grilled the chicken.

 He set the table

We had pasta with cheese sauce and grilled chicken with cheese sauce as well. It was actually very tasty.

Drinking milk from a wine glass...of course!

We had a wonderful dinner and some great conversations to boot.

A Surprise From Pops

So what happens with your Pops knows you really like shooting your BB gun and has started showing an interest in deer hunting? Yep, he builds you your very own deer stand!! That is normal, right? Not really, but when it comes to Elijah and his Pops, it is normal.

So Pops built this for Elijah. My dad built it on their land so it would be more convenient for Elijah and him. We all are looking forward to the great memories that are going to be created here.

Thanks Pop for loving your grandson so much!!!

Artwork

This is Elijah's Coy fish he did in art class.

Elijah's "How-To" poster for his presentation. They had to plan their how to, write it, have a visual (poster) and present it verbally to his classmates and teacher.
He got a good grade on it. :)

100th Day of School

This year for Elijah's 100th day of school at ASE, he decided to make a poster and shirt. His Dad and him made the shirt together but the poster he did all by himself.

 100th Day of School...Nailed it!

He made sure his Dalmatian had 100 dots.

Snow Fest

Elijah really enjoyed this year's Snow Fest because his Pops was able to go with him. He even got Pops to go down the snow hill with him.
