Elijah's FIRST Field Trip

On Friday, March 6th, Elijah had his first field trip. The kindergartners went to the Houston Zoo so they could check out the animals they had been researching. 

I was thrilled, that even though I am now working full time, that I was able to go as a chaperon. All the kids were so excited and they had such a good time.

I am very thankful that I was able to be a part of this special day with my guy. 

 

A Nice Surprise while at HEB

When Elijah and I go to HEB together, typically he will ask for my phone not too long after we have started our shopping. 

However, on this particular day, he asked could he take a math workbook in and do some math while I shopped. I was so surprised and thrilled at the same time. And of course, my answer was YES!

Since staring Kinder this year, we have noticed that Elijah's favorite things to learn about are math, science, and social studies. Now, we just have to add reading to that that list. Hehe!

Kinder Spring Open House

On Tuesday, March 3rd, we attended SCE's Spring Open House. It was so nice having Elijah show us his work and showing us all the different learning areas in his classroom. He was so happy to be our guide for the evening. 

Elijah, Mommy and Daddy are so proud of all of your hard work at school.

Zoo Time with Dad

Byron does a great job of making sure Elijah and him have "guy time" every weekend. Elijah always looks forward to it so much. And I enjoy it as well because it give me time for myself. It is a win-win for all 3 of us!

This particular Saturday my boys headed to the Houston Zoo to check out the exhibit "The Scoop on the Poop!" :) 

A Gift from Elijah

For Valentine's Day 2015, Elijah made me this precious coin bank. He put a dot for each year I am old. Yep, that sweet boy had to put a lot of dots! He also put a quarter in it for me when he gave it to me. Love all the details his put into this gift.
