Halloween 2014

For Halloween this year, Elijah said he wanted to be a guy who watchers over something big being built. Wonder where he knew about that from? :)

So Elijah and his Daddy were Construction Supervisors for Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR). And two very handsome supervisors I would have to say!

This is an actual KBR hardhat that Byron was able to get for Elijah.
Elijah thought it was so cool that he had a "real" hardhat, that it was the kind they use on KBR's job sites, and that he got to keep it.

At the Weaver's Annual Halloween Party

This Halloween was very different for us because I was home sick and missed out on all the fun. And Byron was feeling bad too because he had a sinus infection. But props to Byron because even though he felt horrible, he made sure that Elijah had a fun-filled Halloween.

A New Pumpkin Carver

Introducing the newest pumpkin carver in our house... Elijah Polk :)

This year Byron let Elijah draw the face he wanted on the pumpkin and do all the carving by himself. I wasn't able to watch him carve because I was sick and in bed, but Byron took these pictures for me.

When I saw the final product, I asked Byron did he help Elijah at all, and he said no. I have to say, he did a really good job. What is sad though is we didn't get a picture of it sitting outside all lite up. Well, there is always next year.

Jake from State Farm

One of Elijah's favorite commercials is "Jake from State Farm". He doesn't understand the adult content of the commercial (yea!), he just thinks it is a funny one.

So during Red Ribbon Week at school they had professional day. When we asked Elijah prior to this day what he wanted to dress up as he responded with Jake from State Farm. Byron and I didn't even attempt to change his mind because we both though it was hilarious!

Unfortunately, Elijah had to miss school that day due to the stomach bug. But when he was finally feeling better he asked me to take some pictures of him dressed up as Jake. We love this boy's sense of humor!

What does Elijah really want to be when he grows up... as of now? An electrical engineer

Blessington Farm - Part 2

The fun continues

Elijah had a blast trying to rope the cattle

After we got home, Elijah decided he wanted to create his own pumpkin patch.

Blessington Farms

October was a very busy month for us. But we had set aside one Saturday for going to a pumpkin patch. When we asked Elijah which one he would rather go to this year, he didn't hesitate at all and said Blessington. So off we went. We didn't stay as long as we did last year because wasn't feeling 100% because of his allergies. But it still was a fun day.
