Cousins Having Fun

About 3 years ago, my parents (aka Nana & Paw paw) started bringing my niece, Hannah to Texas so their grand kids could have time together. Hannah lives in Nashville, so they don't get to see each other that much other than Christmas. Even though Hannah is 5 years older than Elijah, I have to say, they get along well and have fun together.  It was a nice visit and all of us enjoyed watching the two of them and seeing those wonderful smiles.

His First Trophy

Elijah participated in the summer reading program, "Get a Clue...at the Library"  this year. He was SO motivated to earn his first trophy! I also found this was a great way to expose him to other books instead of the same ones over and over again. =) Byron and I were very proud of how seriously he took this and his desire to succeed.

Instead of picking up his prizes as he earned them, I waited so he could recieve all of them at once. He seemed to like that.

I was so upset when I got home and realized I had my camera on the wrong setting, thus the blurry pictures. Way to go Michelle :( 



Camping Out

Friday night, June 1st, Elijah and his Daddy camped out in our backyard. This was Elijah's first time to camp out and he really liked it. Somehow around 11:30, I was talked into joining them. I am still not sure how that happened :) We were lucky that the humidity was low that night and that we had a very big moon to be our nightlight. It was actually a good night sleep for all, but an unwanted early rise for us. When the sun was rising, so was Elijah. So, his first camp out experience was a success. In fact, he has already asked a couple of times when can they camp out again.

The next day was Byron's birthday. One of his presents from me was an ice cream maker. Elijah enjoyed helping his Daddy make the ice cream and eating it as well.  

Happy Birthday Byron/Daddy! We love you SO much!

Photopass Pictures

We decided to do the photopass while at Disney and we are glad we did. When we returned home, we were able to view all the pictures they (Disney) took and of course they were great! So we purchased the CD and below are pictures that Byron edited to add to the CD. These are some of our favorites.
