Back to Gymboree

I recently started Elijah back to Gymboree and I am so happy I did. He is having a lot of fun and Mrs. Kristi, his teacher, is great! The pictures below were from our session this week.

Waiting to get his Gymbo stamps. I love how he is sitting so patiently and waiting his turn.

Two of My Favorite Things

Elijah really enjoys wearing his Daddy's cap and riding his battery-operated car that his Nana and Papaw gave him. This particular morning he put on Byron's cap as soon as he got up and kept it on most of the morning, even after I took off his pajamas. He also spent the vast majority of the morning sitting or riding his car as well. In other words, "These are just a few of my (Elijah's) favorite things".

Such a serious look

Dads and Donuts

On Tuesday morning, Byron went to Elijah's school for Dads and Donuts. Byron had a meeting that morning at work, but he drove back because he wouldn't have missed it for the world! I couldn't help but get a little emotional as Byron and Elijah walked into the room. It's special moments like this that we thought we would NEVER get to experience. All the kids had made a special gift for their fathers too. What a fun morning for my two special guys!

Not the best picture of Elijah, but at least we got one of him and his daddy. :)

Snow Blast

This morning we headed to the Sienna Snow Blast. I am glad we got there about 15 minutes before it started because later it was very crowed. Elijah was in a great mood and had so much fun. This little guy loves being outside!!

After playing so hard, Elijah had worked up an appetite. Nachos anyone?

Afterwards, we went to the park

Not sure why he is sticking out his tongue :)

Elijah loves going down slides!

Final Christmas Celebration with Grandma and Granddaddy

After visiting my parents, we then headed to see Grandma and Granddaddy (Byron's parents). We were glad that Uncle Blake, Aunt Michelle, Ashton, and Lindsay were able to be there as well. And that Aunt Brenda and Uncle Billy were able to make it too. Elijah liked seeing his uncles, aunts and cousins, but he especially liked being with his Uncle Blake! Thanks Uncle Blake! We had a good time and Elijah had SO much fun playing outside as the pictures will show.

"I'm ready Daddy. Let's go!"

Having fun rolling down the hill

He used the tree as his stopping point each time he ran down the hill. We are very grateful that he didn't run into the tree in process. :)

This is one of my favorite pictures when he was outside playing!

Nothing better than running into the safety of Daddy's arms

Christmas Celebration with Nana and Papaw

The day after Christmas we got up bright and headed to Mississippi to see our families. Our first stop was at Nana and Papaw's house (my parents). We were happy that Uncle Mike and Hannah were able to be there too. We had a good time and Elijah had a BLAST! Thank you Nana and Papaw for everything. I love you both very much!!

This was a "two days after Christmas present" from us. We couldn't resist. We had been wanting to get him a train table but not a big one. And this one was just the right size and Byron got a great deal on it. There are a lot of other neat parts that go along with it, however with traveling, we didn't want to open all of them.

Hayride!
Papaw took the grand kids for a wonderful hayride. To say Elijah LOVED the whole experience is an understatement!!!
Hannah (my niece) and Elijah waiting for the hayride to begin

Not sure what Elijah liked more, the hayride or driving the tractor with Papaw. By the time we had left their house, he had been on 3 hayrides and drove the tractor 3 times too. So sweet!! Thank you so much Papaw.

Fishing with PapawWaiting patiently...which is huge for a two year old :)
Success! He caught two fish which was impressive considering how cold it was.
