We decided that it would be better to acknowledge Elijah's good behavior instead of always taking notice of the bad. So we started this chain for positive behavior and like me, his is a visual learner, so I wanted something that he could see at all times.
If he had a good day at school and didn't lose any points, then he got a link. If he was good for me/us from the time he got home from school to bedtime, he earned another chain. And if he earned 2-3 points at school, on top of being good, we would give him an additional link.
He was so proud of himself when it finally reached the floor. :)
We gave him 3 options for his reward and he choose an Ipod.
